MAINTENANCE

Regular vacuuming (Weekly in low-traffic areas, and daily or twice daily in areas with higher traffic) with a motor-driven brush and beater bar can remove up to 80% of surface dirt, and is the easiest way to prolong the life of your carpet
Regular vacuuming is key to maintaining your carpet, but eventually the carpet color dulls from the dirt and grime stuck in the fibers. The dirt is then carried further into the building to form more soil reservoirs. Additionally, the oil content (15%) of the soil causes particles to stick to carpet fiber and resist vacuuming. To restore the carpet to its best condition, frequent light carpet extraction cleaning gives the best result.

Design Specifications Berber Roll Goods Logo mats are produced using an inlay process, where colored material is cut and pieced together by hand before pressing into rubber. As a result, there are very strict design requirements for this product. PMS color matching is not available. Minimum Text Height: 2" (includes lower case text) Minimum Line Thickness: 1/4" Any space between letters or design elements must be at minimum 1/4". The text requirements are for general use; however, special fonts and very thin letter forms may need to be made larger or thicker and will be approached on a case-by-case basis. Gradients, tints, screens and transparencies are not supported and should not be used.

Maintenance & Cleaning Recommendations

1. Vacuum Daily

When possible, the Berber Roll mats should be vacuumed on a daily basis. In lower traffic applications, clean the mats weekly.

2. Deep Cleaning

Berber Roll Goods mats may be cleaned by any routine method used for carpeted floors

This includes wet extraction as well as low moisture extraction methods

Chemicals used for cleaning should be as solvent-free as possible and following a wet cleaning, care should be taken to rinse the mat as thoroughly as possible

If a wet system is used, the mats should be placed in a position to drain as much as possible before returning to service

Extract, clean, or hose off as needed to remove heavy soil from the carpet.

3. Floor Preparation

Prior to the mat being put back into service, Andersen recommends that the floor where the mat will be placed be cleaned to remove dust and dirt
This will allow the mat to grip the floor more effectively reducing mat movement with traffic

The floor under the mats should also be kept as clean and dry as possible to protect the bottom of the mats and reduce mat movement. Why does the floor get discolored underneath a floor mat?

1. Do I have to check out to get a digital proof?

Due to the high volume of requests we kindly ask all of our customers to check out to receive a free digital proof which will be emailed to you after the order is submitted. Your card will only be authorized and you can view more information regarding payment here.

2. How long does it take to get a digital proof?

Once your order is submitted our team will download your artwork and submit to the plant’s designers for a digital proof. Typical lead time is 24-48 hours until your proof is emailed to you. Please note FloorMatShop and our plant is closed on weekends and holidays.

Variations to Proofs – If you request a variation of your proof, your request goes back into the queue and can have a lead time of 24-48 hours. Providing print ready artwork in the beginning insures your artwork will be done correctly the first time in most cases.

Your e-mail confirmation approving your design will allow us to process the order and send to fabrication. Please note we will send an e-mail confirmation that we have received your approval. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have not received your confirmation.

3. What is the lead time to have a logo mat delivered?

After you approve your proof the average fabrication time is around 7 business days. Some of our custom logo mats ship faster than others depending on the time of the year.

Can I rush my order? In most cases we have to follow the manufacturers lead times since they are fabricating a high volume of orders and working as quickly as possible.

4. What type of logo files do you except?

Below is a list of different types of artwork our design team can work with (if you do not have access to a vector based high resolution logo file). If we are unable to use marginal artwork, we are requesting if you can supply us with different material(s). Please try to provide the best possible artwork to expedited the process. Scanned copies distort the artwork and therefore cannot be used.

I love the Berber Cut Inlay Logo Mat I purchased for our condominium building main lobby. The building receives a lot of foot traffic through the main lobby being in the downtown area where people walk to work. The product looks great, was very inexpensive and the delivery was very fast.
