Unlike conventional entrance matting designed primarily for foot traffic, the WaterHog Forklift Mat is constructed to withstand forklift traffic up to 14,000 lbs. Reinforced rubber nubs, a durable PET fabric surface, and a heavy-duty 100-mil SBR rubber backing create a rugged wheel-cleaning surface built for demanding industrial environments.
Each 4' x 6' tile can be installed individually or combined with additional tiles to create a larger wheel-cleaning zone based on your facility layout and forklift traffic pattern. An aggressive double-sided adhesive tape system (sold separately) secures the tiles to the floor and helps prevent movement under repeated forklift traffic.
Please Note: Mat dimensions are approximate. Rubber naturally expands and contracts due to temperature and time. A manufacturing size variance of approximately 3–5% should be expected.

As forklift tires travel across the bi-level WaterHog surface, the mat scrapes moisture and debris from the wheels and traps it below the surface instead of allowing it to continue farther into the building.

Secure Installation for Forklift Traffic
WaterHog Forklift Mats should be secured using double-sided adhesive tape, sold separately. Proper installation helps prevent individual tiles from shifting under repeated forklift traffic.
- Position the mat face down with the smooth rubber backing facing upward.
- Apply double-sided tape along all four sides of the tile, keeping the tape close to the edges.
- Apply additional tape diagonally from corner to corner to create an X across the center.
- Position the tile in the desired installation area and carefully expose the adhesive.
- Press the tile firmly into position to establish a secure bond with the floor.
Tape Requirement: Approximately 32 feet of double-sided tape is required per 4' x 6' tile.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Regular cleaning helps maintain the WaterHog Forklift Mat's ability to capture dirt and moisture from lift truck wheels.
- Vacuum regularly to remove accumulated dry soil and debris.
- Vacuum daily in high-traffic industrial environments when necessary.
- Extract or hose off the mat as needed for heavier soil buildup.
